Your privacy

Privacy Policy

Cedar Family Care respects the trust you place in us. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Last updated: July 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Cedar Family Care (“Cedar Family Care,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by Cedar Family Care LLC, collects, uses, and protects information when you visit cedarfamilycare.com (the “Site”), contact us, or request a consultation. By using the Site or contacting us, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you and provide our services:

  • Information you give us. When you complete our consultation form, email us, or speak with us, you may provide your name, phone number, email address, your relationship to the person needing care, your general location, the types of care you’re exploring, your preferred contact time, and anything you choose to write in your message.
  • Sensitive details you choose to share. To help us understand your situation, you may voluntarily share health-related or personal details about yourself or a loved one. We treat this information as confidential and use it only to respond to your request and, if you become a client, to provide care. We provide non-medical home care and are not a healthcare provider or a HIPAA-covered entity, but we handle what you share with care and discretion.
  • Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and the pages you view. This is used for security and to keep the Site running reliably.
  • Local preferences. The Site stores your light/dark theme choice in your browser’s local storage. This stays on your device, is not sent to us, and is not used to identify or track you. The Site does not use advertising or analytics cookies or third-party trackers.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your inquiry and arrange a free consultation.
  • To provide, coordinate, and improve our home-care services if you become a client.
  • To communicate with you about your requests, scheduling, and care.
  • To operate, secure, and maintain the Site.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

We do not use your information for automated advertising, and we do not sell it.

How we share information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only in these limited situations:

  • Service providers who help us run the Site and business. Our website is hosted on Vercel, and our email and consultation-form delivery run through Google Workspace. When you submit the consultation form, your details are emailed to us through these providers. They process this information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
  • Caregivers and staff directly involved in responding to your request or providing your care, on a need-to-know basis.
  • Legal and safety reasons. When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our clients, caregivers, or others.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

How we protect your information

The Site is served over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and we use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending highly sensitive information (such as financial account or government identification numbers) through the website form or by email.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, to provide services you request, and to meet our legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations, generally up to 3 years. When it is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

Your choices and rights

  • Access, correction, and deletion. You may ask us to access, update, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Contact us using the details below and we’ll respond as required by applicable law.
  • Communications. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time. If we ever send marketing emails, each will include an unsubscribe option.
  • Do Not Sell. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.

Children’s privacy

The Site and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Third-party links

The Site may link to other websites we do not control. This policy does not apply to those sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy practices.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
